Telenor continues nationwide WiMAX expansion
Sunday, October 12th, 2008 – 11:48 amAirspan Networks, Inc. announced that Telenor has awarded Airspan a contract to expand the operator’s national WiMAX network across Norway. Serving rural areas previously unreached by broadband, WiMAX solutions from Airspan will enable Telenor to deliver IP services to thousands of new subscribers. Telenor will be offering business and residential high-speed data services in several additional regions nationwide.
“The Airspan solutions interface to our existing Broadband delivery systems and perfectly meet our needs enabling us to successfully build our network and achieve our business objectives,” said Bjorn Netland, Director Broadband Platforms of Telenor. “This second phase deployment is well under way and will continue through several months.”
